A Message from our Executive Director

Each and every day, Bright Future Foundation is privileged to bear witness as survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse embark on the daunting journey to rebuild their lives. With the support of donors like you, together, we empower victims to take the first steps toward safety, financial security and long-term healing for both themselves and their families. The strongest testament to our work comes from the words of those we serve.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me at BFF. You treated me with respect and compassion and I could never have made it this far without you. My children are now strong and resilient. I will never forget your kindness.”
                                   -Danielle, Advocates Against Assault client

“My advocate said she believed in me, she supported me and I can do this. Her words gave me hope.”
                                   -Maria, Freedom Ranch Safehouse client

2017 has proven to be an exciting year for the Bright Future team. This spring, the Vail Valley Partnership recognized Bright Future as Nonprofit of the Year for achieving the highest level of excellence in pursuit of our mission while enhancing the community’s overall quality of life. Also this spring, we expanded our housing options with the addition of the Ensuring Freedom program, a survivor-driven housing-first initiative. To date, the program has provided 1696 nights of supportive housing to vulnerable families.

And finally, if you haven’t already heard our BIG news, this summer we announced the launch of the Brighthouse Capital Campaign to build a new emergency shelter for families fleeing domestic violence and abuse. This ambitious endeavor will afford our precious occupants enhanced safety, security and privacy.

Bright Future’s success is a continuous evolution that requires passion, perseverance, and a community committed to serving the underserved. Thank you for making futures bright for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.

With immense gratitude,

Sheri Mintz
