Hundreds of children hunted for toy and candy filled eggs at the Town of Avon’s Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15 at Nottingham Park. Bright Future Foundation’s Buddy Mentors Program participated in the free event to help promote the theme, “Be A Buddy, Not A Bully.” The Buddy Mentors booth included a bean bag toss and “Buddies” egg painting. Kids also visited with the Avon Bunny, took a chance in a jelly bean guessing game, and burned off their energy in inflatable features like the bouncy castle.
Thank you to the junior and senior buddies who helped organize the crafts table, and to the Town of Avon for the opportunity to encourage kids to always to be a buddy – and never a bully.
