Overcoming Obstacles: A Guide to Collaborative Parenting

This 3-hour live seminar, focusing on parenting through divorce, is offered monthly. The class fulfills the requirement set forth by the 5th Judicial District. This workshop is via Zoom and requires attendee participation as part of the course.

Pre-registration is required.

The curriculum’s goal is to:

  • Develop healthy, positive communication skills,
  • Develop healthy dispute resolution skills,
  • Increase ability to engage in collaborative parenting strategies,
  • Increase understanding of how behavior, communication, and conflict affects children, and
  • Increase understanding of the impact of divorce, family restructuring, and judicial proceedings on children.

Helpful tips for attendees:

This is a live, interactive workshop that engages participants in collaborative discussion of the material. Please come prepared to participate and share your thoughts and ideas. As this workshop is via Zoom, please do not attend this workshop while driving. It is recommended to find a quiet place where you can participate with minimal distractions.

Please note: For in-person classes (which have been postponed for the foreseeable future) Bright Future Foundation is unable to provide daycare. Please do not bring children or pets to class. Also, if your arrival is delayed by more than 15 minutes after the start of class, you will not be admitted and will need to reschedule.

Cost per person is $90 and can be paid by cash, check or credit card. Payment must be made in full at least 24 hours in advance to receive the video link to the workshop.
