Just after the holidays, we received an unexpected email from Pajama Program. They were writing to say they had an Eagle County donor who had 56 pairs of new children’s pajamas to donate and wondered if we had a need. Well, of course we do! What a treat to be able to offer our shelter visitors and our family clients new pjs for their kiddos. It is heart-warming to say the least. This is the mission of Pajama Program: “At Pajama Program, we understand deeply how many children in this country don’t have a stable home life, or a home at all. To these children — often abandoned, neglected, living in shelters or temporary housing — we pledge our unwavering commitment to the inherent right of every one of them to have a loving bedtime and restful good night as the start of a positive, empowering good day.” We couldn’t agree more.
