Junior and senior buddies visited Mountain Valley Horse Rescue (MVHR) in McCoy and learned how to properly care for horses who previously had been neglected or abandoned. The visit was a special Buddy Mentors Program event with a focus on education, volunteerism and the amazing experience of making connections with the horses.
The mission of MVHR is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find new, forever homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned horses, and MVHR works to reduce cases of horse abuse and neglect through education and outreach.
