Bright Future Foundation would like to thank the Women’s Foundation of Colorado Vail Grantmaking Committee for their generous support of our Ensuring Freedom housing program for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Eagle County.
Did you know that Eagle County families need income more than three times the federal poverty level to make ends meet? According to the Colorado Center on Law & Policy, an Eagle County family with one adult and one child needs an annual income of $57,499 to pay basic expenses and 24.9% of households fall under the standard in Eagle County.
Bright Future Foundation believes that children and families are best positioned to thrive and succeed in a home that is safe and permanent. Obtaining stable, affordable housing is the largest barrier to safety and self-sufficiency for the clients we serve at Bright Future Foundation. Our Ensuring Freedom Program creates a pathway to safety and self-sufficiency by focusing on identifying and obtaining stable housing as quickly as possible for victims, while also providing the holistic support necessary to rebuild their lives. We appreciate the support from the Women’s Foundation of Colorado Vail Grantmaking Committee of this essential program in our community.
