Congratulations to Ellen Smith Eaton for receiving the 2019 Buddy Mentors Mentor of the Year award, presented at the September Third Monday Potluck in Edwards.
Ellen and Abel have been together since January 2014. They are frequent attendees to Buddy Mentors events, but they are also the buddies to turn to when looking for inspiration of things to do outside of the organized events. Throughout the past six plus years, Ellen and Abel have explored Eagle County and beyond—hiking, painting and drawing, snowshoeing, cutting down Christmas trees, swimming in the river, and taking walks at the Eagle River Preserve in Edwards, where they both live.
Ellen is Abel’s supporter and advocate, and is an inspirational example of what a successful mentoring looks like. Thank you, Ellen!
